"Elegant Brown Leather" 2cm Quartzite

Below is an image of a new arrival to the Cactus Stone Gallery – "Elegant Brown Leather" 2cm quartzite. This material is quarried and processed in Brazil. We received 19 slabs at an average size of 116” x 72”.

There is also an interesting image of the quarry of this material. As you may know, quartzite is sandstone that has undergone metamorphism. When looking at this quarry shot, imagine the striations being different layers of sand. After millions of years of varied heat and pressure, it metamorphosed into the quartzite we see today.
